A good air seal is vital to your replicas performance and consistency. Variations between each shot make it more difficult to predict where your BB's will travel, as the power behind them is not the same, resulting in different spin applied by the hop up. In short, you have a lot more variables at play when you're trying to unleash your inner sharp shooter.

Over time your gun's air seal can degrade - O-rings can dry out, recede, or become damaged. Similarly, plastic components can become misshapen, further increasing the shot to shot variance. Replacing your air seal components with high quality parts can improve your performance, as well as making your replica more efficient, however the primary reason for it is improving consistency. Many guns suffering from air leaks are at the fault of the nozzle - they leak between cylinder head & nozzle, or between nozzle & hop up chamber. If you have too long a nozzle then the gun will not feed, as the tappet plate will not pull it back for enough to allow BB's to enter the chamber. On the other hand if it's too short then it will not go far enough into the chamber to create an adequate seal & thus the power will plummet.

For best results you should use all air seal parts from the same brand where possible, as they've each been designed to fit together - the tolerances are better leading to superior consistency.

This nozzle is for V3 gearboxes, and specifically for the AK series, suitable for TM-spec AK gearboxes, measuring in at 20mm.
