To get the most out of a sidearm, you will typically want to have two spare magazines. Pistols hold far fewer BB's than rifles, so you will run out significantly faster, and although if you're shooting targets out the back garden this may not be a big deal, if you're in the middle of a skirmish, it's the difference between winning, or a slow shameful walk back to the safe zone to refill.

Pistol magazines are not ubiquitous - they are model specific, and often brand specific. It can be confusing to find out exactly which magazine you need, so we strongly recommend that if you are not sure, contact us for advice. There can be small differences that prevent the magazines from working, from something as basic as the base plate, to the shape of the striker valve.

KWA are one half of one of the original airsoft manufacturers, KSC. They are a real innovator in the space. You may have come across the term "Cloner" before - it refers to the (primarily) Chinese manufacturers that reverse engineer other companies' products (mostly Tokyo Marui). KSC were one of the few to stand out alone, creating their own designs, and even their own hop up system.

KSC have a complicated relationship in the airsoft world - KSC models are generally plastic, to comply with Japanese restrictions, however there are metal versions typically distributed under the name KWA. KWA is a Taiwanese manufacturer, owned by Yih Kai, however their product lines are largely mirrored with the distinction generally being the externals (metal or plastic). KSC & KWA developed the System 7 gas system, providing better gas economy, and superior performance even in the cold. Their hop up system is completely different as well, using a ball bearing inside a ratcheting chamber - the benefit of this system is that you can adjust your hop up (on pistols) without disassembly. Perhaps best known for their M9 replica, which was the most realistic on the market (one of the first with a functioning de-cocking lever). However, they do more than pistols - producing electric rifles, SMG's, GBBR's, and much more. Across their entire line, the focus is on exceptional quality, ingenuity, and performance.
