ASG Dan Wesson 6"
Revolvers are just undeniably cool - it can be hard to resist the urge to quote Dirty Harry at every turn, but that's the price you pay. Renowned in the firearms world due to their simplicity, in airsoft terms they're loved simply because they look amazing.
The Dan Wesson is the big name in town for revolvers - manufactured by WinGun, they're full metal and Co2 powered...a winning combination. They're a non-blowback gun, and true to the revolver style are only 6-shots. 1 bb is loaded into a bullet-type shell, and then into the cylinder. Six shells are included, as well as a speed loader to make the process even faster.
This particular model is the 6" Chrome version. This is the main image conjoured when people think of a revolver, and it's of no surprise that it is the most popular. It holds 1x Co2 caplet which lasts approximately 100 shots. Inserting the cartridge is as simple as pulling back the grip, loosening the thumb-screw, and slotting it in (tightening up the screw to pierce the cannister). From there just load up your shells, spin the cylinder whilst quoting your favourite action movies and you're ready to go.
Dan Wesson revolvers do not have any hop up system, so the maximum range of the gun is going to be about 20 meters which combined with their limited capacity (i.e. 6 shots) make them not the most practical choice. That said you don't choose a revolver because it's practical...you go with a revolver because it's bad-ass!
